The Orange High School Construction students have been working diligently since the start of school to build a house for the Habitat for Humanity organization. According to their website, Habitat is a "nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need." The students have made significant progress in their short time with the home. All the locations for the walls were marked out and frames put into place on top of the concrete foundation.

Halloween nor the partially submerged floor from Hurricane Sandy's clouds was enough to deter these students from getting outside and getting to work. They used teamwork, wooden beams, and big hammers to align the trusses (roof supports) spanning the depth of the house and to nail them in place.

If they continue this progress Mat Hamlett, the Construction teacher in charge, says they should finish by May.
