January 21 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 22 is a Teacher Workday, and January 23 is a Mandatory Teacher Workday.
Senior Abby Peel said, “I am ecstatic” in reference to the mini break.
The end of the nine weeks and the end of the first semester is on January 18, which is an exam make-up day.
Exams start January 13 and the first period exam review is January 11. For seniors, the mini break after exams may start early if they have an A in the designated class. However, for all students, there is the chance that they will not have to attend at least one review session, depending on their grade and/or the class.
Sophomore Benjamin Peckman commented, “I’m glad we get these days because they gypped us on Christmas Break.”
Senior Blake Brewer added, “I enjoy the break but I think that we should do exams before Christmas break so we don’t have to come back to do them. If you pass exams, you get more break.”
When asked what she will do over the mini break, junior Natalie Intehar gave a thumbs up and said, “Sleep and study Latin.”
