OHS will be hosting the 12th annual Hoops for Hope benefit in order to raise money for Huntington’s disease. The basketball shooting event will be held on March 2 from 9 am to noon in the OHS gym.
The proceeds will go to the fight against Huntington's disease, which affects muscle coordination and leads to psychiatric problems.

The organization responsible for the event is the North Carolina Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, a non-profit organization devoted to making the lives of Huntington’s disease patients better.

Spencer Husen, a freshman at OHS who will be participating in the event, said, “It’s great to have an event like this at our school and I'm glad that I can have some fun while doing something for a great cause.”
Prizes will be awarded to both the top shooters and top fundraiser.

Be sure to take the time to stop by the OHS gym from 9 am until 12 pm on March 2.
