April 10, the FFA Club here at Orange High School participated in a livestock show.
Participants showed their pigs and cattle. The event took place at the Central Holstein Barn in Hillsborough. It occurred on Wednesday, April 10, from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm that night. It also took place the following day on Thursday from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm. Students that were participants took a field trip those two days to attend the show.
Many of our students from Orange High’s FFA Club won grand champion spots as well as first places. Ryan Wade won first place for showing his pig. Spencer Walker also showed his pig for first place. Trey Palmer showed his pig and won reserve grand champion.
The FFA Club is very active here at OHS and the show went very well. Many members are pleased with the turnout of the award winning club. The club leaders are Mr. Latta and Mrs. Moore.
FFA Club member Taira Blount, a freshman here at Orange, said, “The show was a great success for the Orange High School FFA. The students who showed did a great job at showing off the livestock we have raised this semester and shows what we are learning throughout Mr. Latta and Mrs. Moore’s class.”
