Senior night for the varsity volleyball team was held on October 15. The team faced a tough game against their rivals Cedar Ridge High School. Even though the team lost 0-3, they kept their energy high and celebrated their seniors Kentcie Robbins, Tara Weller, Hailey Parker, and Ashley Muench.
Before the game started, a ceremony was held in honor of the seniors where each of the seniors’ names were called as they walked to the rest of their team escorted by a family member. When the senior reached the underclassmen on the team, an underclassman handed each senior flowers and a balloon. As the senior received the gifts and walked onwards toward Coach Grant to hug him, a speech was read telling the crowd what each player will miss about her team and teammates. At the end of the ceremony, the crowd applauded the seniors and the whole team was brought together for one more big embrace.
Senior night was free for all students to attend. This game was a huge turnout for the student body.
