The golf team has had their past two matches cancelled due to inclement weather. They were both on Mondays, the first one canceled due to snow and the second due to power outages. Cardinal Gibbons and Northern Vance were going to host the matches respectively. Make-up days have not been announced yet.

The team hopes that the next match scheduled for Monday, March 17 will actually occur. They will play at Falls Village in Durham at 3 pm hosted by Southern Durham. The matches usually last about 3 hours.  The whole conference plays at every match, but to keep it shorter they play only nine holes.

Pat Moser is the coach of the golf team again and the team has about fifteen players. Brad Barbee, senior, said that the team had a “good mix” of players this year although they lack freshmen. The team practices at the Occoneechee golf course in Hillsborough so the commute from the school to the course can make it hard for underclassmen to join since they cannot drive yet.

Orange and Cedar Ridge will host the “Big Eight” 3A Tournament Monday, April 28, at Occoneechee. This will be the only home game of the season.
