Wednesday, April 23, Orange High School welcomed all military branches to its halls for Military Day. The Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, National Guard, Coast Guard, and the Reserves made appearances.

This day was held to showcase different parts of the military and reach out and grasp the minds of teenagers to see if this was their true calling for their future. It gave students the opportunity to learn more about each branch and career options. Tables were set up for each branch and representatives handed out flyers to hopeful future members.

The military is a good choice for students who don’t wish to continue with a post-high school education. They will make a fair amount of money and receive valuable benefits. Being a part of the military is considered an honor by most.

The military helps cover part of education costs such as for universities and community colleges. This is ideal for people who cannot afford to go to college on their own and need some extra help.
