The Junior Varsity and Varsity soccer teams have had unsuccessful seasons so far this year. With multiple rained out games, neither team is getting many chances to make up for its losses. Both teams’ seasons started with rained out home games. The games were originally supposed to be against Riverside High School. Two days later, both teams played Graham. The Junior Varsity team lost 5-2, and the Varsity team won 4-0. Head Coach Palmer Bowman said that the game was “a good practice game to start a steadily improving season.” Team member Omar Landeros says that the Junior Varsity team “works better when cooperating, and just has not completely done so yet.”
So far this season, both teams have been steadily improving and getting closer and closer as teammates. There is more communication on the field, and teammates are collaborating and figuring out clever plays for certain teams.
