Aaron Foreman is a new physical science teacher at Orange High School. “Orange has very good resources and [a] very good administration,” Foreman said when asked how he likes Orange. During the interview, Foreman talked about why he likes teaching and working at Orange.

Foreman thinks that Orange is unlike any other high school he has teached at. “I feel that Orange gives the teachers more freedom than other schools I have worked at and teachers are treated more professionally,” said Foreman. Foreman majored in Biology and taught Earth and Environmental Science for three years.  This is the first time Foreman has taught physical science and he says he likes teaching the course and working with the juniors and seniors at Orange High.

Foreman thinks that science teachers should collaborate more to get notes and other ideas for teaching their courses. “I feel like giving students more time for working in groups is best for the students,” said Foreman. “[We need to try] to get teachers to recognize that teaching one student, who doesn’t have their mind set on success, [will not be as productive as teaching a] student who does have their mind set on success and going to college.”

Foreman says that he still plans on teaching physical science at Orange next year. “Orange is a good school with great administrators and a good principal.”
