Saturday, February 1, Orange High School wrestlers celebrated their seniors. “The night was an overall success!” said senior Argie Burnette. “It was definitely a good thing that the seniors are recognized for all of the hard work we have done, and in that moment all the work we have put in over the years paid off.”

Team Orange ended with a score of of 55 to 6 against Chapel Hill High School, making the night even more rewarding for the seniors. David Peters-Logue, a senior, said, “The night was great because we won, but I’m going to miss Orange because of relationships that have been built, but I look forward to the opportunities that the future holds for me.”

The wrestling team will miss the seniors that are leaving. Junior Trent Tanner stated, “The seniors, over the last three years I have wrestled with them, have taught me about leadership, technique, and  values, and they will be missed greatly.”

As the seniors take these lessons of integrity, tenacity, and determination into their future, they move on to the next chapter in their life. Whether it’s pursuing their dreams and going to Appalachian State University to wrestle like Peters-Logue or working towards other goals they have for their future, they will always have memories from their time on the Orange High wrestling team.
